Beech class is a Key Stage 2 class with children from year 4 and 5.  The class teachers are Miss Ives and Mrs Mawson and the teaching assistants are Mrs Pinion and Mrs Asher. Miss Rowe will be teaching PE and Topic in Beech Class.

Autumn Term 2025

We are extremely excited about having a brand new class and can't wait to get to know them all and to start work on all of the things we have planned for this term.

We will start by looking at creation stories in English leading to writing our own. Our VIPERS book is called The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, an exciting adventure book that many of you will be familiar with and was written by CS Lewis. We will be working hard on spelling and grammar throughout the term. We will begin maths by looking at place value before moving on to other areas.

Our PE days are Mondays and Wednesdays.  Please ensure that a full PE kit is in school on both days with suitable clothing for both inside and outside lessons.

We will be studying the Vikings in history before switching to studying rivers in geography after half term.

Year 4 will have music lessons with Mr Robinson, while Year 5 will have Mr Courtney for brass lessons.

Please make sure that your child has a water bottle in school every day.
