Cedar class is a Key Stage 2 class with children from year 6.  The class teachers are Mrs Mawson and Miss Ives and the teaching assistants are Mrs Pinion and Miss Copping.  Mrs Rowe and Mrs Denny will also be teaching in Cedar each week

Spring Term 2025

I am very excited about this term as there's a lot planned.

We will start by looking at Dracula and writing diaries and instructional texts in English, learning how we can write our own. Our VIPERS book is called Cogheart, an exciting adventure book by Peter Bunzl. As ever, we will continue working on spelling and grammar throughout the term.

We will begin maths by consolidating the 4 operations and using these to solve reasoning problems.  We will also look at measuring, shape, time and angles.

Although the weather will start to cool, we will enjoy being outside for a number of PE lessons. Rugby and dance are planned for the first half term followed by hockey and gymnastics.

Our PE days will be Monday and Thursday.  Please ensure that a full PE kit is in school on both days, which is suitable for both inside and outside lessons.

Please make sure that your child has a water bottle in school every day.
