Elm
Autumn 1 term in Elm class
Elm class is a Key Stage 1 class with children from year 1 and year 2. The class teacher is Mr Holland and is supported by Mrs Higgins (Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri) and Mrs Stephenson (Tue).
P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure your child has suitable P.E. kit (shorts or jogging bottoms, coloured t-shirt for their school house (blue, green, red or yellow) and trainers (plus socks if you normally wear tights). Earrings need to be removed before children come to school or your child needs to be able to remove them themselves before the P.E. lesson starts.
Water bottle and healthy morning snack are essential - both should be brought in named bottles / containers. The school will provide an afternoon snack (fruit or vegetables).
Coats should also be labelled with your child's name - we aim to get the children outside even if it's raining slightly or cold.
Yellow reading diaries and 2 reading books will be sent home daily - please look after these and do write in the yellow book when your child reads to you. If you child reads in school, it will be recorded here as well - it's a fantastic way for you to see what they're doing in school and how they're progressing.
As always, if you have any questions / queries at all, please speak to myself or Mr Higgins / Mrs Stephenson in the playground in the morning or pop into the school office and leave them a message.
