This term in English we will be working on an amazing book called, 'Fantastic Mr Fox' by Roald Dahl. We will analyse the language, make inferences and predictions and create our own pieces of writing based on this 'fantastic' book. We will build on this learning in guided reading and have a specific focus on VIPERS (vocabulary, inference, prediction, explain, retrieve and summarise).
For P.E this term, we will be exploring athletics practice and striking and fielding games. Our P.E kits therefore will need to be brought in on Wednesdays and Fridays. Please make sure you bring the correct uniform for this and consider the weather for these warmer months.
Our history topic is looking at the Anglo-Saxons. We will be using both primary and secondary sources to learn about this civilisation and having some hands on experience to really dive deep into this topic.
In geography this term, we will explore both the journey of a banana from source to our plate. We will discuss the meaning of fairtrade and understand the role we can play in promoting this.
In music, we will be having special weekly lessons with Mrs Head on the recorder.
